Notice of the County's intent to award the contract by <br />"piggybacking" a bid awarded previously by Cabarrus County was published in THE <br />INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on February 5, 1998. <br /> <br />Support of the Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Pro,ram Assistance <br />Application for the Proposed South Central Piedmont RC&D Area <br /> <br /> The Board unanimously endorsed the submission of the application for <br />Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Program Assistance for the proposed <br />South Central Piedmont RC & D Area of North Carolina and agreed to support the <br />Area and council if authorized and participate in its undertakings. <br /> <br />Cable Television Review Findinqs - Approval of the 1998 Basic Rate of $5.60 per <br />Month Per Subscriber <br /> <br /> The Cable Television Rate Review Findings for Time Warner Cable as <br />submitted by Ms. Sandra Albrecht Montgomery, AICP, Cable Television Administrator <br />with the Centralina Council of Governments, were included as a part of the <br />Agenda° <br /> <br /> The Board unanimously approved the 1998 Basic Rate of $5.60 per month per <br />subscriber for Time Warner Cable. <br /> <br />Approval of Noise Permit Request by Ron Harwood for an Outdoor Event on March 28 <br />at 601 Lentz-Harness Shop Road <br /> <br /> The Board unanimously approved a noise permit as requested by Ron Harwood <br />for an outdoor musical event on March 28, 1998 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at <br />601 Lentz-Harness Shop Road with the understanding that the noise level will be <br />lowered if any complaints are received by the Cabarrus County Sheriff's <br />Department during this time. <br /> <br />Adoption of Amendment to Section 1-7, General Penalty, of the Code of Ordinances~ <br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> The Board unanimously adopted the following amendment to Section 1-7, <br />General Penalty, of the Code of Ordinances. <br /> Ordinance No. 1998-03 <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED that Section 1-7(a), General Penalty, of the Code of <br />Ordinances, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1-7. General Penalty. <br />(a) Any person violating or failing, refusing or neglecting to <br />comply with any provision or requirement of any section or <br />subsection of this Code, or any ordinance of this county now in <br />force or hereafter enacted, to which no specific penalty is affixed, <br />shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor and shall be fined in an <br />amount not to exceed $500.00 for each offense. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 16th day of February, 1998. <br /> <br />/s/ Sue B.
