637 <br /> <br />by the County Manager (see above list); (2) Agreed for the County to go out <br />for a certificate of participation in the amount of $30 million to fund a new <br />high school, including land cost; (3) Agreed to use $2.5 million in <br />undesignated fund balance along with remaining bond funds of $8.5 million to <br />complete the Harrisburg Elementary School conditioned upon the fact that the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Education will turn over the old Harrisburg School <br />land to the County to be sold to the highest bidder and funds used for debt <br />service; (4) Increased the property tax rate by four cents (4¢); (5) Restored <br />the Animal Control Officer position that was deleted from the proposed budget; <br />(6) Added $20,000.00 in the budget for computers for the Sheriff's Department <br />with the County Manager and Sheriff to work out the details concerning these <br />computers; (7) Agreed to add three (3) building inspector positions based on a <br />determination by the County Manager and staff of the need for these positions <br />which are to be paid for by fees; and (8) Adopted the following FY 1998-99 <br />Budget Ordinance. <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BUDGET ORDINANCE <br />FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999 <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North <br />Carolina: <br /> <br />Section I.
