From City of Concord <br />00161710-6901 7,459,587.21 <br /> Fund Balance Appropriated <br /> <br />180,000.00 <br />253,000.00 <br /> <br /> 24,410.00 <br /> <br /> 180,000.00 <br /> <br /> 253,000.00 <br />7,483,997.21 <br /> <br />Resolution in Support of Establishing a Cabarrus County Chapter of the Mental <br />Health AssociatiQn <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Niblock <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 1998-29 <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ESTABLISHING <br />A CABARRUS COUNTY CHAPTER OF THE MENTAL HEALTH <br /> ASSOCIATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the National Mental Health Association is a national <br />organization dedicated to improving the mental health of all individuals and <br />achieving victory over mental illness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the National Mental Health Association has as its goals <br />preventing mental illness, improving mental health services, reducing the <br />stigma of mental illness, and providing assistance to those citizens with <br />mental illness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Mental Health Association has chapters in <br />thirty three counties in North Carolina; and <br /> WHEREAS, the public and private providers of mental health services in <br />Cabarrus County, family members of persons with mental illness, and advocates <br />for mental health are organizing a Cabarrus County Chapter of the Mental <br />Health Association. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners supports the establishment of a Cabarrus County Chapter of the <br />Mental Health Association. <br /> Adopted this 21st day of September, 1998. <br /> /s/ Sue B. Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Authorization to Purchase Playground Equipment Using the Cabarrus County <br />Original Playground E=uiDment Bid Awar~ ~Q Basnight and Associates on <br />December 15, 1997 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Niblock <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request that the County not <br />utilize the formal bid process for the acquisition of playground equipment <br />but instead to accept and "piggyback" the bid that was originally let by <br />Cabarrus County on December 15, 1997 to purchase playground equipment from <br />Basnight and Associates. The notice of this intent was advertised in THE <br />INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on September 10, 1998. <br /> <br />Proclamation - Hunting and Fishin= Day in Cabarrus County (Seotember 26, <br />1998) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Niblock <br />and unanimously carried, the Board proclaimed Saturday, September 26, 1998, <br />as "Hunting and Fishing Day in Cabarrus County" as requested by the North <br />Carolina Wildlife Federation. <br /> <br />Resolution in SUPPort of E~uitable Medicarg/Medicaid Reimbursement for <br />Emergency Medical Ambulance Services in North Carolina <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Niblock <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 1998-33 <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF <br />EQUITABLE MEDICARE/MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL AMBULANCE SERVICES IN NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> <br />
