354 <br /> <br />CO-LOCATION: The location of wireless telecommunications equipment from <br />more than one provider on one common tower, building or structure. <br /> <br />TOWER: Any ground-mounted, pole, spire, structure or combination thereof, <br />including supporting lines, cables, wire, braces and masts, to which a <br />telecommunications antenna is attached or affixed. <br /> <br />TOWER, LATTICE: Three or four-legged steel girdered structures typically <br />supporting multiple communications users and services generally ranging <br />from 60 to 200 feet in height. <br /> <br />TOWER, MONOPOLE: Single pole design, approximately three feet in diameter <br />at the base narrowing to approximately one and a half feet at the top, <br />generally ranging from 25 to 150 feet in height. <br /> <br />UTILITY POLE: Pole used to support essential services such as power, <br />telephone, or cable TV lines; or used to support street or pedestrian way <br />lighting, typically located in public right-of-ways. <br /> <br />WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES (WTS): Licensed or unlicensed wireless <br />telecommunication services including cellular, digital cellular, personal <br />communication services (PCS), specialized mobile radio (SMR), enhanced <br />specialized mobile radio (ESMR), commercial or private paging services, or <br />similar services marketed or provided to the general public. "This <br />definition does not include services by non-commercial entities in the <br />amateur radio service, public safety radio service, or licenses assigned <br />to non-profit organizations such as the red cross, civil air patrol, or <br />military affiliated radio service that are licenses by the Federal <br />Communications.~ <br /> <br />Part 2. That Chapter 3 "Establishment of Zones", Section 3-7 and "Table of <br /> Permitted Uses, is hereby amended by creating a new Principal Use "Wireless <br /> Telecommunication Services" that is "PBS/C" for each zoning district. <br /> <br />Part 3. That Chapter 6 - Section 6-13 #2 Requirements. "Height Limitations for <br /> Certain Types of Structures" is hereby amended to add: "Provided, however, <br /> this height limitation exception shall not apply to Wireless <br /> Telecommunication Services except in such cases where the Wireless <br /> Telecommunication Services is in Stealth Antenna format". <br /> <br />Part 4. That Chapter 8 "Conditional Uses" is hereby amended by creating a new <br /> Section to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 8-4 ~26 Wireless Telecommunication Services (WTS~ <br />Wireless Telecommunication Services (WTS) shall be permitted as a Permitted <br />by Standard or Conditional Use in all zoning districts. <br /> <br />WTS shall be subject to the following provisions: <br /> <br />The following WTS Development shall not require Board of Adjustment review <br />but shall be subject to the administrative provisions of Chapter 7, <br />"Performance Based Standards" <br /> <br />Stealth Antenna associated with a permitted use which does not <br />exceed 100 feet. <br />WTS Antenna Co-located on an existing WTS tower where the <br />Antenna height is not increased more than twenty (20) feet. <br />WTS Antenna located on an existing utility pole, transmission <br />tower, water tank or similar utility structure which serves a <br />different purpose and where the WTS Antenna does not increase <br />the total height more than twenty (20) feet. <br />WTS Antenna located in an L-C, G-C, L-I, or G-I Zoning <br />District attached to or mounted on a principal building and <br />where the maximum total height does not exceed the following: <br /> <br />District Maximum Heisht (in vertical feet) <br />L-C 65 <br />G-C 80 <br />L-I 80 <br />G-I 80 <br /> <br /> <br />
