332 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met for a work <br />session on growth management in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Cabarrus County <br />Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina on Saturday,. February 18, 1995, <br />at 9:00 A.M. <br /> <br />Present - Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Vice-Chairman: Arne L. Fennel <br /> Commissioners: Sue B. Casper <br /> Dr. Franklin C. Niblock, Jr. <br /> Kenneth Olio-Mills <br /> <br /> Also present were Mr. John V. Wttherspoon, County Manager; Mr. Gerald A. <br />Newton, Planning and Development Area Manager; and Ms. Sue Russell, Planner. <br /> <br /> Representatives of homebuilders, realtors, economic development as well as <br />other community leaders Joined the Board for the work session. <br /> <br />There was open discussion regarding growth management in Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman Barnhart requested that staff <br />do the following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br />3) <br /> <br />Provide more information on how the North Carolina Partnership for <br />Quality Growth is progressing; <br />Work more closely with the local Quality Growth Council; and <br />Look for experts in the field of growth management and suggest <br />consultants. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />adjourned the meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
