Barnhart <br />Title: Chairman <br /> <br /> The Kannapolts City Council voted unanimously to approve the Letter of <br />Intent as set forth above. <br /> <br /> Members of the Board of Commissioners and the Kannapolis City Council <br />discussed the benefits to the citizens of Kannapolis and Cabarrus County. Both <br />boards expressed~appreciation for the cooperation and the efforts put forth in <br />the successful negotiations regarding the Letter of Intent. <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart recessed the meeting of the Board for a short period of <br />time. Members of the Kannapolis City Council left the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart reconvened the meeting of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Subdivision Regulations <br /> <br /> Mr. Witherspoon asked for clarification of several items regarding the <br />revised Subdivision Regulations adopted by the Board on May 15, 1995. <br /> <br />Page 12 - Second paragraph of Subsection A of Section 3.4 <br />references the Appendix A map to define the Urban Growth <br />Areas. There is no Appendix A map, and the Urban Growth Areas <br />are defined elsewhere in the Regulations. <br /> <br />Page 27 - Last sentence on page references Appendix A, minimum <br />standards for sidewalks. This Appendix was not attached to <br />the Ordinance at the meeting on Monday. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following clarifications to the <br />revised Subdivision Regulations adopted by the Board on May 15, 1995. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Delete the following phrase from the second paragraph of <br />Subsection A of Section 3.4: <br /> <br />..., as defined on the Appendix A map ...... <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Adopt "Appendix A - Sidewalks" to be included as a part of the <br />Subdivision Regulations. <br /> <br />Department Reviews <br /> <br /> The Board agreed to meet at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, May 22, to continue <br />department reviews. The Water and Sewer District meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Recess of Meeting <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />recessed the meeting at 6:10 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. on Monday, May 22, 1995, at the <br />Home Health Agency. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
