The Board invited Mr. <br />Hartsell and Mr. Don Moorhead, Personnel Director, to join the Board in closed <br />session. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br /> <br />County Manager Search <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart briefly reviewed the "Proposed Hiring Process" as <br />prepared by Mr. Moorhead for filling the County Manager position. This <br />"process" included projected dates for advertisement, review of applicants, <br />interviews/assessments, meetings with other local government leaders (optional), <br />and the decision by the Board. January 1, 1996 was listed as the target date for <br />a new County Manager to be in place. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Niblock and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to adopt the procedures to locate, attract <br />and hire a County Manager as outlined in the "Proposed Hiring Process" prepared <br />by Mr. Don Moorhead. <br /> <br />Appointment of Interim County Manager <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Niblock, Fennel and Casperand Chairman Barnhart voting for, and <br />Commissioner Olio-Mills voting against, the Board appointed Chairman Barnhart as <br />temporary Interim County Manager to work with senior staff members on a regular <br />basis. Further, Chairman Barnhart will receive no additional renumeration for <br />his services as Interim County Manager. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />adjourned the meeting at 9:20 A.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
