BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF SHERIFF AMOUNT: $4,048.96 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request PURPOSE OF REQUEST: To repair wrecked vehicles Line Item Account Number Present Approved Revised Budget Increase Decrease Budget 01-9-21-10-520 Auto Maintenance 01-6-17-10-804 Insurance Refunds 51,692.75 4,048.96 55,741.71 129,071.71 4,048.96 133,120.67 NEW BUSINESS Submission of Schedules of Values, Standards, and Rules for 1995 Revaluation Mr. Terry Rowland, Tax Administrator, submitted the Schedules of Values, Standards, and Rules for the 1995 Revaluation. He explained that the four-year revaluation cycle will reduce the impact of the dramatic increase which occurs over eight years. In addition, the four-year cycle will place Cabarrus County and Rowan County on the same revaluation schedule and alleviate problems in the City of Kannapolis. Mr. Rowland asked the Board to set a date and time for a public hearing regarding the proposed Schedules. UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 1994, for the purpose of considering the proposed Schedules of Values, Standards, and Rules for the 1995 Revaluation as submitted by Mr. Terry Rowland. Commissioner Casper reported that local newspapers are not delivered in the northeast section of Cabarrus County. Therefore, she asked that steps be taken, such as sending notices to churches and/or fire departments, to advise the residents of that area of the revaluation. Mr. Rowland will provide brochures to Commissioner Casper to be distributed to residents of the northeast section of the county. Designation of Voting Delegate for the 1994 Annual Conference of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Casper and unanimously carried, the Board designated Chairman Barnhart as the voting delegate for Cabarrus County to the 1994 Annual Conference of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. Also, the Board named Commissioner Carpenter as the alternate voting delegate to the conference. Budget Amendment - Board of Commissioners (Legal Fees) UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment.
