327 <br /> <br /> Ms. Betsy Carpenter spoke in support of the animal licensing program and <br />outlined the following recommendations relative to Animal Control: (1) Establish <br />the department as a separate entity; (2) Appoint advisory committee of persons <br />trained in animal issues; (3) Conduct neighborhood campaigns to notifypeople of <br />licensing program: (4) Increase cost of fines; and (5) Refine the Animal Control <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Furr, Coordinator of the 4-H After School Program, presented <br />information regarding the program which is targeted for the kindergarten through <br />fifth grade age groups. There are currently 19 sites in the county, including <br />11 Cabarrus County after school sites and eight day care facilities. <br /> <br /> There was no one else present to address the Board, and Chairman Carpenter <br />closed the public hearing at 9:05 P.M. <br /> <br />Road Name Change - Setting a Public Hearing <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing for 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, <br />July 6, 1993, to consider the following road name change: Unnamed Road to Oak <br />Hollow Lane. <br /> <br />Amendment to "An Amended Ordinance for Issuing Permits and Prescribing Fees for <br />Permits and Inspections for Cabarrus County" Schedule of Fees Effective July <br />1, 1993 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following fee schedules effective <br />July 1, 1993.
