Miss Mullen's one year term will end on July 31, 1994. <br /> <br />Fire Inspections A. Contract to Provide County Fire Inspections and Code Enforcement <br /> B. Adoption of Revised Cabarrus County Fire Code <br /> <br /> Mr. John Day, Budget Officer, and Mr. Creg Walters, County Fire Marshal, <br />reviewed the revised Fire Code and the proposed contract with the City of Concord <br />to provide county fire inspections and code enforcement. Effective July 1, 1991, <br />the North Carolina State Building Code incorporated the Fire Prevention Code and <br />dictated a schedule of inspections to be performed throughout the State. The <br />revised Fire Code reflected the changes in the State Building Code and provided <br />for inspection fees and penalties. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Fennel, and Casper and Vice-Chairman Payne voting for, <br />the Board adopted on first reading the following Cabarrus County Fire Code <br />Ordinance. <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY FIRE CODE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS ENTITLED "CABARRUS COUNTY <br />FIRE CODE". <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, effective July 1, 1991, the North Carolina State Building Code <br />incorporated the Fire Prevention Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the provisions of the North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code <br />apply to the repair, equipment, use, occupancy, and maintenance of every existing <br />building or structure, other than one or two family dwellings and townhouses, and <br />to the installation of fire prevention systems for new buildings and structures; <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
