388 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />we commend the ethical hunters and anglers for their <br />unselfish dedication and contributions to conservation; <br />and <br />Governor James B. Hunt, Jr., has proclaimed September <br />25, 1993 as "Hunting and Fishing Day" in North Carolina. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carolyn B. Carpenter, Chairman of the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, do hereby proclaim September <br />25, 1993, as "Hunting and Fishing Day" in Cabarrus County and call <br />upon all the citizens of the county to recognize the role of these <br />men and women in preserving this important part of our American <br />heritage and in ensuring the wise use and proper management of our <br />natural resources to benefit future generations. <br /> <br />Adopted this 7th day of September, 1993. <br /> <br />/s/ Carolyn B, Carpenter <br /> Carolyn B. Carpenter, Ghairman <br /> Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Proclamation - Litter Bugs Me Days - September 17 October 1, 1993 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Proclamation. <br /> <br />LITTER BUGS ME DAYS <br /> 1993 <br /> A PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Adopt-A-Highway groups, other community and civic <br />organizations, and concerned individuals work durtng the <br />year to keep the roadsides free of litter in Cabarrus <br />County and throughout the State of North Carolina; and <br />the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Office <br />of Beautification Programs will coordinate the work of <br />such groups during a two-week cleanup effort this fall; <br />and <br />the beautiful scenery and clean environment are a source <br />of pride for all our citizens; and <br />Governor James B. Hunt, Jr., has proclaimed September 17 <br />through October 1, 1993, as "Litter Bugs Me Days" in <br />North Carolina. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carolyn B. Carpenter, Chairman of the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, do hereby proclaim September <br />17 through October 1, 1993, as "Litter Bugs Me Days" in Gabarrus <br />County and urge all citizens of the county to acknowledge the work <br />of the beautification groups and individuals and aid them in their <br />valued efforts. <br /> <br />This the 7th day of September, 1993. <br /> <br />/s/ Carolyn B.
