<br />Section 162A-3 of the Act and, accordingly, hereby determines to
<br />organize the Authority pursuant to such Section.
<br /> Section 2. The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the
<br />Authority are as follows:

<br /> ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
<br /> OF
<br />THE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY OF CABARRUS COUNTY
<br />
<br /> The Articles of Incorporation of the Water and Sewer Authority
<br />of Cabarrus County, an authority organized under the provisions of
<br />the North Carolina Water and Sewer Authorities Act, being Article
<br />1 of Chapter 162A of the General Statutes of North Carolina, as
<br />amended, by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus,
<br />North Carolina, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Concord, North
<br />Carolina, the City Council of the City of Kannapolis, North
<br />Carolina, the Town Council of the Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina
<br />and the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Mount Pleasant, North
<br />Carolina, are as follows:
<br /> (1) The name of such authority shall be the "WATER AND SEWER
<br />AUTHORITY OF CABARRUS COUNTY" (hereinafter referred to as the
<br />"Authority").
<br /> (2) The Authority is organized under Section 162A-3 of the
<br />North Carolina Water and Sewer Authorities Act, as amended.
<br /> (3) The names of the organizing political subdivisions of the
<br />Authority are the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, the City of
<br />Concord, North Carolina, the City of Kannapolis, North Carolina, the
<br />Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina, and the Town of Mount Pleasant,
<br />North Carolina.
<br /> (4) The Authority initially shall have nine members, two
<br />appointed by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus,
<br />North Carolina, two appointed by the Board of Aldermen of the City
<br />of Concord, North Carolina, two appointed by the City Council of the
<br />City of Kannapolis, North Carolina, one appointed by the Town
<br />Council of the Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina, one appointed by
<br />the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Mount Pleasant, North
<br />Carolina, and one appointed by the Board of Commissioners for
<br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina, with the advice of the other
<br />organizing political subdivisions.
