Martin~s visit to the Maternity Clinic on <br />February 10, 1992. Also, she expressed appreciation to the General Services <br />staff and all others who aided in the preparations for "Capital for a Day." <br /> Chairman Carpenter stated that this was the date and hour scheduled for <br />a public hearing on the naming of an unnamed road to Village Park Drive. She <br />asked if anyone were present who wished to speak either for or against the road <br />name change. No one addressed the Board, and Chairman Carpenter closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the naming of an unnamed road to Village <br />Park Drive (Petition 91-92/01). <br /> Chairman Carpenter opened the public hearing for the naming of an Unnamed <br />Road to Willis Park Circle and asked if anyone were present who wished to speak <br />for or against the road name change. No one addressed the Board and Chairman <br />Carpenter closed the public hearing. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and <br />unanimously carried,the Board approved the naming of an Unnamed Road to Willis <br />Park Circle (Petition 91-92/02). <br /> The Board reviewed the written request from Ms. Helen C. Arthur, President <br />of The Cabarrus Bicentennial Commission, Inc., for a sum of $30,000.00 from <br />Cabarrus County toward the Bicentennial budget of $68,200.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to appropriate $10,000.00 to the <br />Bicentennial Commission at this time and to look at the Commission's request <br />again in June for Fiscal Year 1992-93.
