554 <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />12. The Garage is not responsible for personal items which are lost or <br /> stolen, when the vehicle is serviced at the Garage or at an outside <br /> contracted service. <br />13. Warranty booklet, tag registration cards, state inspection <br /> certificate and owners manuals must remain in the vehicleWs glove <br /> compartment at all times. <br />14. No County employee is authorized to alter any equipment installed <br /> in a County vehicle or repair any County vehicle, with the exception <br /> of Landfill and Parks and Recreation equipment, which may be repaired <br /> by their respective personnel. <br />15. Scheduled services generally will not be performed without at least <br /> one day notification. <br />Spare Vehicles <br />1. There are spare vehicles located at the Garage which may be borrowed <br /> during times of major maintenance to an assigned vehicle. The use <br /> of a spare vehicle is at the discretion of the Garage Manager. <br />2. Any required maintenance to a spare vehicle must be reported to the <br /> Garage on a vehicle maintenance request immediately. <br />3. Please do not return the spare vehicle to the Garage without filling <br /> the fuel tank completely. <br />4. If a spare vehicle is not available, the driver is responsible for <br /> requesting assistance from their supervisor. The Garage is not <br /> responsible for finding a vehicle for a driver, whose vehicle is <br /> being repaired, if a spare is not available. <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />Vehicle Replacement <br />1. Sheriff's Department Patrol Cars only replaced at 100,000 miles <br /> service, or as Garage Manager requests. <br />2. (A) EMS Ambulance - 100,000 miles, or as Garage Manager requests. <br /> (B) EMS Cars 150,000 miles, or as Garage Manager requests. <br /> <br />Ail Non-Emergency Vehicles <br />Ail re-used patrol vehicles in other County departments surplused <br />at 150,000 mileage, or as Garage Manager requests. <br />All non-emergency vehicles (other than old re-used patrol vehicles) <br />100,000, or as Garage Manager requests. <br />Mileage for trucks will not be used, only vehicle mechanical <br />condition will warrant replacement, or as Garage Manager requests. <br /> <br />If any County department has a vehicle used less than 1,000 miles per year, it <br />should be turned in to be re-issued to another department or surplused,.or as <br />Garage Manager requests. <br /> <br />During the Annual budget process the Garage Manager will work with each <br />department in determining if a vehicle is to be removed from service. The Garage <br />Manager will send a written recommendation to the respective department head with <br />a copy to the Budget Office, when it is determined to remove vehicles from <br />service. <br /> <br />Ail department heads should consult with the Garage Manager before ordering new <br />vehicles for determining future serviceability. <br /> <br />GUIDELINES FOR THE USE OF COUNTY OWNED VEHICLES <br /> <br />I have read and fully understand the guidelines for the use of County owned <br />vehicles and agree to comply with these guidelines <br /> <br />Signed <br />Department <br />Date <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Moorhead, Personnel Officer, reviewed the proposed revisions to <br />the County Personnel Ordinance regarding the Pay Plan/Pay Scale. He used a <br />ladder to demonstrate an employee's progression from the hiring rate to job rate <br />which usually occurs within a period of two to five years. Mr. Moorhead also <br />pointed out that an "above average" rating had been added to the Plan since it <br />was first presented to the Board on May 18. In conclusion, he stated that the <br />revised Plan, if adopted by the Board, would be effective January 1, 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
