Eudy. <br /> <br />Recognition of Mr. Joe L. Mingo, Sr., and Mr. Farrar O. Griggs, Jr. <br /> <br /> Resolutions honoring Mr. Mingo and Mr. Griggs for their service on the <br />Kannapolis City Board of Education had been received from the Kannapolis Schools. <br />At the request of Commissioner Hamby, the Board authorized Chairman Carpenter to <br />send a letter of appreciation to both Mr. Mingo and Mr. Griggs on behalf of the <br />Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Rabies Clinics <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter announced that the local veterinarians were sponsoring <br />an emergency rabies vaccination clinic on August 29. <br /> <br />Executive Session <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Carpenter with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Payne and Simmons, the Board moved to go into executive <br />session to discuss possible land acquisition and pending litigation. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Simmons with <br />Commissioners Payne, Simmons and Hamby and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />executive session was adjourned. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the executive session. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carpenter adjourned the meeting at 8:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
