124 <br /> <br />Appointment to Parkwood Sanitary District Board <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Payne and Barnhart and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board moved to add to the agenda the appointment of Mr. Joe Gaskey to fill the <br />vacancy on the Parkwood Sanitary District Board. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hamby stated for the record that the law firm for which he <br />works represents Parkwood Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Payne and Hamby and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board appointed Mr. Joe F. Gaskey to the Parkwood Sanitary District to complete <br />the unexpired term of the late Mr. Jean Goodman. <br /> <br />Water and Sewer District Meeting <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter recessed the meeting until the conclusion of the meeting <br />of the Water and Sewer District of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter reconvened the meeting of the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br /> <br />Expression of Appreciation <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter thanked Commissioners Hamby and Simmons for their work <br />as members of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Reconvening of the Executive Session <br /> <br /> The Board reconvened the executive session at 8:00 P.M. to continue <br />discussion relative to property acquisition and industrial recruitment. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Carpenter with <br />Commissioners Barnhart and Payne and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the executive <br />session was.adjourned. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hamby left the meeting during the executive session and was <br />absent for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the executive session. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carpenter recessed the meeting at 9:55 P.M. until 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December <br />1, 1992. The Board will meet in the Conference Room at that time and then travel <br />to the Coddle Creek Reservoir project. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
