39 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special <br />session at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord on Friday, February <br />15, 1991, at 2:00 P.M. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the airport <br />litigation with legal counsel. <br /> Present Vice-Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Commissioners: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br /> Absent Chairman: Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 2:02 P.M. by Vice-Chairman Barnhart. <br />Commissioner Carpenter was absent for the beginning of the meeting. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Payne, and Vice-Chairman Barnhart voting for, the Board <br />moved to go into executive session to discuss legal matters with counsel. <br />Attorneys Gordon Brown, LeAnn Nease, and Thomas McNeely met with the Board during <br />the executive session. <br /> Commissioner Carpenter joined the Board in executive session and was <br />present for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice-Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Vice-Chairman Barnhart and Commissioners Payne, Carpenter, and Hamby voting for, <br />the executive session was terminated. <br /> No report was given on the executive session. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Vice-Chairman <br />Barnhart adjourned the meeting at 4:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
