He <br />explained that this would involve making a 33.9 per cent cut across the board <br />for both Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools and would give a total <br />savings of approximately $641,259.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart with <br />Chairman Simmons and Commissioners Barnhart, Carpenter and Hamby voting for, the <br />Board moved to reduce the Capital Outlay appropriation for both school systems <br />by a total of 33.9 percent and to then properly allocate those funds on an <br />Average Daily Membership (ADM) basis to both the Cabarrus County Schools and <br />Kannapolis City Schools. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with <br />Commissioners Barnhart and Hamby and Chairman Simmons voting for and <br />Commissioner Carpenter voting against, the Board moved to put $8,000.00 back in <br />the Greater Cabarrus County Economic Development Corporation budget as the <br />Corporation has already moved to a new facility. The Board further approved the <br />Corporation's budget in the amount of $76,179.00 as recommended by the County <br />Manager. <br /> <br /> <br />
