Ruffin <br /> County Manager <br /> <br />HHR/sb <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to accept the resignation of Mr. Michael <br />M. Ruffin as County Manager effective October 1, 1991 and to assign the <br />responsibilities of County Manager to Commissioner Hamby as the Interim Manager. <br />Mr. Ruffin will be available on a consulting basis as needed through October 1, <br />1991 and the Board agreed to pay the amounts due him under the remainder of his <br />employment contract and his severance pay in a lump sum at this time. <br /> Chairman Simmons expressed the Board's appreciation for Mr. Rufftn's <br />professionalism during his tenure as County Manager and the accomplishments as <br />outlined in his letter of resignation. He wished Mr. Ruffin the best of luck <br />in the future. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Terry Rowland, County Assessor; Ms. <br />Diane Seaford, Budget Officer; and Mr. Blair D. Bennett, Finance Director, to <br />a committee of three to review County operations on a day-to-day basis and to <br />make recommendations to Commissioner Hamby. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Simmons <br />recessed the meeting until 6:30 P.M. on June 24, 1991, to consider the final <br />adoption of the budget ordinance. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
