330 <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Watson of HDR Engineering, Inc. presented a revised Wetlands <br />Mitigation Plan for the Coddle Greek Reservoir Project in accordance with <br />instructions given to him by the Board of Commissioners. He noted that the new <br />plan included a one-half acre to one acre mitigation ratio and would not require <br />the purchase of any additional land. He estimated the total cost of the new <br />mitigation plan at $793,000.00 which included habitat creation at $660,000.00, <br />design cost at $40,000.00, a monitoring/management program for seven years at <br />$75,000.00, and a maintenance program for five years at $18,000.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board accepted the Coddle Creek Reservoir Project <br />Environmental Assessment including the Wetlands Mitigation Plan as prepared by <br />HDR Engineering, Inc., and directed that it be forwarded to the Environmental <br />Protection Agency, the Corps of Engineers, and other agencies as required. <br /> The Board requested that Chairman Lentz send a letter to the Corps of <br />Engineers explaining the history of the Coddle Creek Reservoir project and the <br />County's efforts to provide an adequate supply of water to the citizens of <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 2:55 P.M. <br /> <br />Glerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
