Ruffin, County <br />Manager, to execute the Grant Award on behalf of Cabarrus County. The following <br />grant funds will be administered by the Department of Social Services: <br /> <br />Grant Title: <br />Grant Number: <br />Grant Period: <br />Date of Award: <br />Federal Grant Amount: <br />Total Project Cost: <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Home Remedies Project <br />13-190-D3-J040 <br />7-1-90 - 6-30-91 <br />July 3, 1990 <br />$44,086 <br />$44,086 <br /> <br />Budget Categories: <br />Personnel <br />Contractual Service <br />Travel <br />Supplies and Other <br /> Operating Expenses <br />Equipment <br /> TOTAL <br /> <br />$29,682 <br />$11,634 <br />$ 1,770 <br />$ 1,ooo <br /> <br />$44,086 <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF <br />PERSONAL PROPERTY BY PRIVATE NEGOTIATION <br /> BETWEEN THE COUNTYOF CABARRUS AND <br /> CONCORD ENGINEERING & SURVEYING, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus has computer equipment that is <br /> no longer usable by the staff of the Land Records <br /> Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus has negotiated an exchange of <br /> said equipment with Concord Engineering & Surveying, <br /> Inc. for computer equipment that will enhance the daily <br /> operation of the Land Records Department; and <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-271 provides that <br /> the Board of Commissioners, after public notice of <br /> proposed exchange, may adopt a resolution authorizing <br /> the exchange of personal property by private <br /> negotiation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br /> in its meeting on June 4, 1990 authorized the <br /> publication of notice for the proposed'exchange of the <br /> computer equipment between the County of Cabarrus and <br /> Concord Engineering & Surveying, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus in accordance with North Carolina <br /> General Statute 160A-271 published a notice in The <br /> Concord Tribune and The Daily Independent on July 20, <br /> 1990 relative to the proposed exchange of personal <br /> property by private negotiation between the County of <br /> Cabarrus and Concord Engineering & Surveying, Inc. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Cabarrus that said Board does hereby authorize the <br />exchange of the following personal property by private negotiation <br />between the County of Cabarrus and Concord Engineering & Surveying, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />County of Cabarrus: <br /> · 7580A Hewlett-Packard Pen <br /> 2051A00668, $500.00 <br /> <br />Plotter, Serial Number <br /> <br /> <br />
