571 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed <br />session in the Commissioners~ Conference Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina, on Wednesday, November 14, 1990, at 8:30 A.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> Absent - Commissioner: R. Giles Moss <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin and Hamby voting for, the Board moved <br />to go into executive session to discuss land acquisition and a personnel matter. <br /> Commissioner Simmons arrived during the executive session at 8:40 A.M. and <br />was present for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with Chairman <br />Lentz and Commissioners Hamby, Melvin, and Simmons voting for, the executive <br />session was adjourned, <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Melvin, and Simmons and Chairman Lentz voting for, the Board <br />ratified the employment of Blakeney, Alexander & Machen, Attorneys at Law, with <br />regard to the matter of Cabarrus County ad valorem tax discoveries. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 8:50 A.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
