CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 18, 2017 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />Emergency Medical Services - Recognition at the Carolina's Paramedic <br />Competition <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County EMS team of Lieutenant Kara Clarke and John <br />Beall represented Cabarrus County EMS well at the Carolina's Paramedic <br />Competition in Fayetteville, North Carolina on October 13th and 14th. The <br />team performed extremely well in the two day event pitting the best teams <br />from North and South Carolina in a competition format of complex patient <br />care scenarios. The scenarios required great attention to care, scene <br />management, professionalism, and clinical decision making. Paramedic <br />John Beall took second place honors in the written exam. This level of <br />excellence is what the Cabarrus EMS paramedics strive to bring to the <br />citizens of the County each day.
