CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Emergency Medical Services - Award of Surplus Ambulance to Concord <br />High School Fire Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) Academy <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Emergency Medical Services Ambulance 942 (County Asset 8276) is to <br />be declared surplus as a result of the County's Vehicle Replacement <br />Policy. The unit has been replaced with a new purchase. We request <br />Asset 8276 be declared surplus and awarded to the Concord High School <br />Fire Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) for educational purposes. This <br />will provide opportunities for the education and development of Cabarrus <br />County students seeking a career in the emergency services. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to declare Emergency Medical Services Asset 8276 surplus <br />property and authorize disposition in accordance with the County's <br />Vehicle Replacement Policy. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Alan Thompson, EMS Director <br />Jimmy Lentz, EMS Assistant Director <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />F-2 Page 49 <br />
