CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Infrastructure and Asset Management <br />Foreclosure Property <br />Offer for Purchase of tax <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Tax foreclosure parcels that are not purchased through the courthouse <br />auction have been sold using an online surplus property web service. One <br />particular parcel, located at 337 Broad Drive SW in Concord, has recently <br />received an offer to purchase independently of the web service for $500 <br />from Donald Watson. The property just came into County's ownership last <br />month, and has not yet been listed on the online surplus property web <br />service. The amount the County would ask for the property would be <br />$6,457.76 which is compromised of taxes owed and legal fees. <br />In order to accept this offer to purchase it is required to go through the <br />standard upset bid process.
