CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Reports <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />FY18 Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) Report <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Board of Commissioners approved the Transportation Division FY18 <br />ROAP application at the August 21, 2017 Commissioners meeting. The <br />Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) is a state -funded public <br />transportation program administered by the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation (NCDOT), Public Transportation Division (PTD). This grant <br />funds trips for elderly and handicapped, employment and rural general <br />public. <br />The NCDOT, PTD has disbursed the Rural Operating Assistance Program <br />(ROAP) funds to Cabarrus County. The period of performance for eligible <br />program costs is July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018. There were no funds <br />disbursed in the 2nd Quarter. The first disbursement was for 50 percent <br />ofthe County's total allocation. The ROAP 3rd Quarter disbursement <br />funds was awarded to Cabarrus County on January 11, 2018 in the <br />amount of $52,124.25. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />For informational purposes.
