Spriggs, Chief Operating Officer <br />SUBJECT: Construction Contract for the RCCC Advanced Technology Center <br />The attached construction contract proposal has been approved by the Rowan-Cabarrus <br />Community College Board of Trustees and forwarded to the North Carolina Office State <br />Construction Office for completion of the final contract, as required for all community college <br />construction projects exceeding $500,000. The construction price listed on the proposal, <br />$14,293,000, is the guaranteed maximum price" for the Advanced Technology Center <br />construction contract. <br />While it is possible that the State Construction Office (SCO) may be able to negotiate a lower <br />construction contract, or actual construction costs may come in beneath that in the contract, the <br />cost of construction for this project cannot exceed the amount on the contract proposal.
