Between 2010 and 2016, Cabarrus <br />County's population increase by 13.2 percent. In <br />comparison, North Carolina's population increased by only <br />6.4% . According to a salary study completed by School <br />Efficiency Consultants, Cabarrus County's projected 2019 <br />total population is 204,884 with an annual growth of 1.6 <br />percent. <br />Prior to 2010, the Hispanic community was the fastest <br />growing population in Cabarrus County.
