CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />JUNE 18, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Request for Funds to Begin the Replacement of R. <br />Brown McAllister <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County Schools is requesting the County to provide funds in the <br />amount of $1,510,000 to begin the process of replacing R. Brown <br />McAllister. A memo is attached to describe the use of the funds <br />requested. If approved, funding is available by utilizing excess funds from <br />the construction of Mt. Pleasant Middle School ($885,856), Mt. Pleasant <br />Middle School contingency ($505,086), and ($119,058) from <br />commissioner contingency. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to move forward with funding the replacement of R. Brown <br />McAllister on the current site. <br />Motion to authorize the Finance Director to prepare the budget <br />amendment and associated project ordinances for R.
