ADDITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />JUNE 18, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Library System - Grant Award and Match <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />A grant for FY19 from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), <br />issued by the State Library of North Carolina, has been awarded to <br />Cabarrus County Public Library in the amount of $30,905 with a required <br />match of $6,181. Approval is needed to allocate matching funds in the <br />FY19 budget. <br />A portion of the required match --up to 25% --may be made through cost <br />share, including salary of a staff member heavily involved in the project. <br />Therefore, $1,545.25 of the match amount will be covered through funds <br />that exist in the FY19 budget; an additional $4,635.75 is needed to <br />provide the full, required match amount. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve allocation of an additional $4,635.75 in the Library <br />System's FY19 budget to provide matching funds for the LSTA grant. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Emery Ortiz, Library Director <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />G-7 Page 448 <br />
