ADDITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />JUNE 18, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />DHS - Memorandum of Understanding between the N.C. Department of <br />Health and Human Services and Cabarrus County <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Session Law 2017-41 requires all counties to enter into an annual written <br />agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services for all <br />social services programs excluding medical assistance (Medicaid). The <br />law requires the agreement to contain certain performance requirements <br />and administrative responsibilities related to the social services programs. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the N.C. <br />Department of Health and Human Services and Cabarrus County and <br />authorize the County Manager and Human Services Director to execute <br />the agreement. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />10 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Karen Calhoun.
