REVISED <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />AUGUST 20, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />CCS - Funds Requested for Evaluation of Beverly Hills Elementary School <br />Site - $ 20,000 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) voted on June 28, 2018 to approve a <br />proposal regarding the future of Beverly Hills Elementary School. CCS <br />would like to begin an Architect and Engineering review and site plan <br />high-level design and estimate for building a new facility on the current <br />Beverly Hills Elementary School site. They are requesting $ 20,000 fromthe <br />County to begin this process. FY19 funds were not budgeted for thiswork. If <br />approved by the Board of Commissioners, the funding would come from one- <br />time money available due to school opening delays. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve an Architect and Engineering review and site plan high- <br />level design and estimate for building a new facility on the current Beverly <br />Hills Elementary School site. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Kelly Kluttz, Chief Financial Officer Cabarrus County Schools <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />Yes <br />f-3 Page 58 <br />
