AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance - Small Projects Fund Update for New Soil and Water Easement <br />Grant, Project Write-offs and Legal Expenditures <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />With the assistance of the NC Department of Agriculture, Cabarrus <br />County will be awarded $116,516.50 in funding for a conservation <br />easement named the Hill Farm Easement. The County match comes <br />from surveys, legal work and other in-kind services that are budgeted. <br />There is no need for a cash match at this time for the project. Included <br />in the agenda, is the award document for your review. Also included <br />with this agenda item, is a budget amendment and project ordinance to: <br />1) record the new easement, 2) write off completed Soil and Water <br />projects, and 3) reallocate funds for additional legal expenditures related <br />to Soil and Water easements. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to accept the Hill Farm Easement and approve the related budget <br />amendment and Project Ordinance for the easement, write-off of <br />completed projects and reallocation for legal expenditures. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />F-7 Page 112 <br />
