CABARRUS COUNTY DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE <br />CHAPTER 16 -FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION <br />(15) When a structure is located in multiple flood hazard zones or in a flood hazard risk zone with multiple base flood <br />elevations, the provisions for the more restrictive flood hazard risk zone and the highest BFE shall apply. <br />SECTION B. SPECIFIC STANDARDS <br />In all Special Flood Hazard Areas where BFE data has been provided, asset forth in Part 3, Section B, or Part 5, Section D, the <br />following provisions, in addition to the provisions of Part 5, Section A, are required: <br />(1) Residential Construction. New construction and substantial improvement of any resident ture (including <br />manufactured homes) shall have the reference level, including basement, elevated no lower the Regulatory Flood <br />Protection Elevation, as defined in Part 2 of this ordinance. <br />(2) Non -Residential Construction. New construction and substantial improvemeoElevationar <br />I, industria other <br />non-residential structure shall have the reference level, including basementw gulatory <br />Flood Protection Elevation, as defined in Part 2 of this ordinance.
