Box 1222 <br />Dear Cabanas County Board of Commissioners, <br />The Conflict Resolution Center of Cabarrus County provides a number of <br />Jennifer N. Piaster <br />Euc.liivel)uector <br />restorative justice options to our community. <br />Cynthia Seamrth <br />Teen Court Coordinator <br />One in particular is the Juvenile Community Service and Restitution program. <br />Kathy walker <br />Through this program, court -involved juveniles can perform supervised <br />Tmamy Coommator <br />community service to earn money toward their restitution payments. <br />Barry white <br />Juvenile Restitution & <br />Community Serviw Coordinator <br />Juveniles with court-ordered restitution requirements are transported to and <br />Cabanas County Convention & <br />from work sites around the county. In the past 4 years over 250 juveniles have <br />Bstefany Mellm <br />Admhastrative Assi:tont <br />been served by this program. This valuable program has shown to directly <br />impact juvenile's likelihood of completing their sentence greatly reducing the <br />Board ojDirectors <br />amount of juveniles that are continuously recharged for failure to obey their <br />President Steve DuBois <br />court orders. <br />Renrcd <br />Vice -President Roger F. Condrey <br />The vehicle currently being utilized is in need of replacement in order to Commercial Appraiser <br />provide safe transport for thesejuveniles to the various work sites. The Conflict Treasurer Kimberly Herrick <br />Resolution Center ofCabarrus County respectfully request of Cabarrus County Mhstxw <br />for a donation of a surplus vehicle to meet the needs of transporting impacted Secretary Tammy Drye <br />juveniles.
