Harris <br />Morrison, New Branch Real Estate Advisors, was also in attendance. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award and authorized the County <br />Manager to execute the purchase contract between Cabarrus County and Corporate <br />Funding Associates II, LLC, with a contract to represent a closing with 45 days <br />of the contract date, subject to revision by the County Attorney. <br />(G -g) Kannapolis City Schools - Carver Elementary School <br />Will Crabtree, Kannapolis City Schools (KCS), Director of Business <br />Operations, requested approval for funding to add a security vestibule and move <br />the office from the central area of Carver Elementary School to the front of <br />the school. He reported the County funded the conversion of Kannapolis <br />Intermediate to Carver Elementary School in the amount of $1,520,978 (FY 2016, <br />$750,000 and FY 2017 $770,978). Currently, approximately $130,000 is available <br />to meet future capital requests for this project. Kannapolis City Schools is <br />requesting approximately $118,148 of the available funds to move the school <br />office to the front of the building. An additional request for construction <br />alternatives has also been requested in the amount of $99,047 for a total of <br />$217,195. $50,000 in Lottery funds and $49,047 in Commissioner's contingency <br />can be used to fund the alternatives. <br />A discussion ensued. The project authorized is the various County construction and <br />renovation related projects. Details of the projects are listed in <br />section C. of this Project Ordinance. <br />B. The officers of this unit are hereby directed to proceed with this <br />capital project within the terms of the Generally Accepted <br />Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the budget contained herein. <br />C. It is estimated that the following revenues will be available to <br />complete capital projects as listed. <br />Lottery Proceeds $22,069,308 <br />
