September 17, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3702 (H-1) Appointments Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions Communi ty Oversight Committee Redella Hedrick's term on the Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions Community Oversight Board expired July 31st. She is interested in serving another term. Ms. Hedrick has served on this Board since 2012. An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Redella Hedrick to the Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions Community Oversight Board for a three-year term ending July 31, 2021; including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy. (H-2) Appointments - Library Board of Trustees The Library Board of Trustees is in need of a Mount Pleasant representative to serve the Cabarrus County Public Library system. Rick Burleyson has applied to serve as the Mount Pleasant Trustee and is eligible to serve as the Mount Pleasant representative. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Kiger and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Rick Burleyson to the Library Board of Trustees as the Mount Pleasant representative for a three-year term ending September 30, 2021. (H-3) Appointments - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council At the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council`s August meeting, the Council voted to recommend the following individuals for reappointment: Susan Burns (School Superintendent/ Designee), Dean Vernon (Sheriff/Designee), David Wall (Chief Court Counselor/Designee), Perry Gabriel (Active Living and Parks), and Angela Ward (At -large). A letter of recommendation in this regard is included in the agenda. All are willing to serve another term. An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for Ms. Burns, Mr. Gabriel and Ms. Ward. Mr. Wall also serves on the Mental Health Advisory Board and resides in Montgomery County. An exception to the "service on multiple boards" and "residency" provisions of the Appointment Policy will be needed for him.
