<br />(F-2) Finance - Contractual Incentive Payment for SMG (Cabarrus Arena)
<br />The contract between Cabarrus County and SMG, the operator of the Cabarrus
<br />Arena and Events Center, includes annual incentive payments based on
<br />quantitative and qualitative measurements, as well as food sales volumes.
<br />Detailed calculations of the incentive amounts were provided in the Agenda.
<br />The calculations have been reviewed by Finance and County Manager staff and
<br />have been determined they are in keeping with the contract.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the incentive payments and adopted the
<br />associated budget amendment.

<br />During some of the recent storms, the roof and part of the interior of
<br />the Sheriff's Administration Building was damaged. The estimated cost to repair
<br />the building is $150,000. An allocation of General Fund Balance will need to
<br />be made to cover the repairs.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Sheriff's administration building
<br />repairs and the associated'budget amendment and project ordinance.

<br />BUDGET ORDINANCE
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of
<br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina that, Pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159
<br />of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following capital project
<br />ordinance is hereby adopted:
<br />Section I.
<br />A. The project authorized is the various County construction and
<br />renovation related projects. Details of the projects are listed in
<br />section C. of this Project Ordinance.
<br />B. The officers of this unit are hereby directed to proceed with this
<br />capital project within the terms of the Generally Accepted
