complete Phase 3 in the spring of 2024. WSACC would then begin construction of Phase 4 to <br />expand the RRRWWTP to 34 MGD, with a goal of completing the construction in the spring of <br />2027. <br /> <br />Will there be more traffic on Simplicity Road and will Simplicity Road need improvements due to <br />traffic from the expansion? <br /> <br />WSACC is not anticipating additional traffic as a result of the RRRWWTP expansion. <br /> <br />A few property owners on Simplicity Road said they can hear the noise from valve changes at the <br />RRRWWTP and wondered if WSACC was expecting an increase in noise or an increase in odors <br />at the RRRWWTP? Also would there be increased outdoor lighting at the RRRWWTP? <br /> <br />Thomas explained that the noise from the valves comes from the oxygen plant. When the project <br />is complete, WSACC will have a different source of air supply for the aeration basins instead of <br />the oxygen plant and the noise level should improve. George Anipsitakis explained that he <br />would expect reduced odors from the RRRWWTP itself overall. Outdoor lighting improvements <br />at the RRRWWTP are anticipated as part of the overall project, with a transition expected from <br />t-. <br /> <br />Is there a specific jurisdiction that has grown more resulting in the need to expand the <br />RRRWWTP? <br /> <br />Chad said WSACC is seeing growth throughout the service area, not just a specific area. <br /> <br />If development continues to progress, how much more could the RRRWWTP expand and how <br />would that affect the buffer surrounding the RRRWWTP? <br /> <br />Chad said there is potential that if the RRRWWTP expands far enough it could start encroaching <br />some of the buffer but it would not be dramatic given the overall size of the RRRWWTP site. <br /> <br />Would WSACC help with road repairs on Simplicity Road? <br /> <br />Mark Fowler, Facilities Director explained that the road entering into the RRRWWTP is state <br />owned and the RRRWWTP is owned by WSACC. Because the roads are owned by the state, <br />WSACC can help the property owners encourage the Division of Transportation to improve the <br />maintenance of the roads. <br /> <br />Chad encouraged the property owners to visit www.wsacc.org for regular <br />updates regarding the scheduling and progress of the RRRWWTP expansion. <br /> <br />Mark invited the property owners to take a tour of the RRRWWTP. <br /> <br />surrounding the RRRWWTP throughout the expansion. <br /> <br />With no more discussion or questions, the meeting adjourned at 6:26 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
