5 <br />follows: two members appointed by Cabarrus County; two members appointed by the City of <br />Concord; two members appointed by the City of Kannapolis; one member appointed by the <br />Town of Harrisburg; one member appointed by the Town of Mt. Pleasant; and one at-large <br />member appointed by Cabarrus County with the advice of the municipalities. Appointments <br />are for terms of three years. <br /> <br />YOUTH COMMISSION <br />The purpose of the Youth Commission is to provide teens in the community an opportunity <br />to be active citizens. Through experiences and education, youth will be empowered in the <br />community. The Youth Commission will expose teens to county government, allow teens an <br />opportunity to discuss issues, and interact with county commissioners and employees <br />through youth-adult partnerships. <br />October 20, 2020 <br /> <br />
