<br /> <br />ORDINANCE GRANTING RENEWAL OF THE EXCLUSIVE SOLID WASTE <br />MANAGEMENT FRANCHISE TO BFI WASTE SERVICES, LLC dba REPUBLIC <br />SERVICES OF CHARLOTTE FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus in <br />accordance with N.C.G.S. 160A, Article 20, N.C.G.S. 153A-46 and 153A-136 N.C.G.S. <br />160A, Article 16, N.C.G.S. 130A, Article 11 of the North Carolina General Statutes and <br />all other applicable state and local law and ordinances and upon application of BFI Waste <br />Services, LLC dba Republic Services of Charlotte for Solid Waste Collection and Disposal <br />Services, is hereby granted a renewal of the exclusive solid waste management franchise <br />to operate within Cabarrus County strictly subject to the terms and conditions set forth in: <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the franchise shall be effective and is granted for a <br />period of five (5) years beginning January 1, 2023, and expiring December 31, 2027, upon <br />final adoption after two readings. <br /> <br />Approved and adopted in consecutive regular meetings of the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners on February 21, 2022, and March 21, 2022. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Stephen M.
