The scope of the <br />work will include renovations for DHS in both buildings on campus. <br />Following is Initial information for the project: <br />• Program: The detailed scope and programing are confirmed in the Cabarrus County Department of <br />Human Services Feasibility Study Summary dated November 2023- provided by the County. <br />• The maintenance scope is presented in the Cabarrus County Facility Condition Assessment dated <br />November 2, 2023- provided by the County. <br />• Physical characteristics: The 5 story 1000 Progress Place building is approximately 116,308 square <br />feet and the 1 story 920-950 Progress Place building is approximately 24,213 square feet. Both are <br />located at Progress Place NE, Concord NC 28205. <br />• Budget: The preliminary probable cost for both facilities includes the renovation work at $2.0 <br />million and the maintenance work at $18.0 million <br />• Design and Construction milestone dates: <br />o County purchase of facility — October 2024 <br />o Design and documentation for maintenance complete — May 2025 (begin November2024) <br />o Design and documentation for renovation complete — May 2025 (begin November 2024) <br />o Construction begins -July 2025 <br />• Delivery method: Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) <br />• Consultants: Creech & Associates will retain consultants including structural engineering, <br />mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and cost estimating. <br />Cabarrus County DHS ACN Proposal for Design Services <br />Page 262 <br />
