The school districts asked the Board of Commissioners for <br />approval of the new agreement. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Vice Chairman Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Fiscal Year 24-25 maintenance <br />agreement between Cabarrus County School District and Kannapolis City School <br />District and allowed the Chairman to sign the agreement on behalf of the Board. <br />(F-8) Finance - Reimbursement Resolution <br />Note: Item moved to New Business as G-4. <br />(F-9) Human Resources - Personnel Ordinance Changes <br />Human Resources shared research and recommendations for benefits updates <br />during the February budget retreat. Human Resources presented detailed <br />recommendations for three time -off accruals including: Vacation Tiers, <br />Bereavement Leave and Parental Leave, along with the Personnel Ordinance and <br />policy language required to support these changes. Additionally, new Ordinance <br />language covering the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act was presented. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Vice Chairman Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved new benefit recommendations, supporting <br />policy and Personnel Ordinance language. <br />Personnel Ordinance Updates <br />BOC Work Session <br />August 5, 2024 <br />Several Ordinance sections need some minor updating as clarifications or to return language <br />inadvertently omitted from a previous edit. Several new sections are proposed to address current <br />policies and practices and to cover proposed new time off categories. <br />General Updates <br />Lateral transfer section dropped from previous updates and needs reinstatement. <br />Section 6.
