Morris <br />Vice Chairman: Lynn W. Shue (electronic means) <br />Commissioners: Christopher A. Measmer <br />Kenneth M. Wortman <br />Timothy A. Furr <br />Also present were Mike Downs, County Manager; Rich Koch (electronic <br />means), County Attorney; Aalece Pugh, Assistant County Manager; Kelly Sifford, <br />Assistant County Manager; and Lauren Linker, Clerk to the Board. <br />Chairman Morris called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Chairman Morris led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />A moment of silence was observed. <br />(A) APPROVAL OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Shue, seconded by Commissioner Wortman and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following minutes as presented: <br />May 6, 2024 (Work Session) and May 20, 2024 (Regular Meeting). <br />(B) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Morris reviewed the following changes to the agenda. <br />Updated: <br />Approval or Correction of Minutes <br />A-1 Approval or Correction of Meeting Minutes <br />Consent Agenda <br />F-10 Information Technology Systems (ITS) - Storage Area Network Refresh <br />Addition: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />G-1 Appointment - Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />C-4 Proclamation - PACE <br />New Business <br />G-3 BOC - LGC Funding Discussion <br />Removed: <br />Consent Agenda <br />F-5 County Manager - Property Switch with Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the agenda as amended. <br />RECOGNITIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />(C-1) Proclamation - Library - Library Card Sign Up Month <br />Melanie Holles, Library Director, presented a video presentation of the <br />proclamation. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Wortman, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the proclamation. <br />Ms. Holles then provided additional information on the process of <br />obtaining a Cabarrus County library card. <br />Page 71 <br />
