Our Board of Supervisors had invited the Supervisors of Rowan and <br />Iredell Counties, and other persons in these counties who have an <br />interest in the proposed improvement project of Coddle-Coldwater- <br />Dutch Buffalo Creeks Watershed, to be our guests at this dinner <br />meeting held at Bames Restaurant. <br />2. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint those present with the <br />progress that has been made so far on the proposed watershed <br />improvement project, and to solicit continued support of the project <br />from citizens of Rowan and Iredell Counties. <br />3. Date by date, and step by step, Mr. Coltrane gave a full account of <br />the progress that has been made on the project. <br />4. Mr. Thompson and Mr. Dameron explained details of the preliminary <br />surveys and other work that has been accomplished. Also, they pointed <br />out that 50 1 /o of all land included in the watershed must have been <br />treated or covered by Cooperator's Land Treatment Plans before work <br />on the project would be approved by the U. S. Department of Agri- <br />culture. They insisted that all three counties involved get busy <br />signing up new Cooperators. <br />
