Our Board of Supervisors had invited the Supervisors of Rowan and Iredell Counties, and other persons in these counties who have an interest in the proposed improvement project of Coddle-Coldwater- Dutch Buffalo Creeks Watershed, to be our guests at this dinner meeting held at Bames Restaurant. 2. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint those present with the progress that has been made so far on the proposed watershed improvement project, and to solicit continued support of the project from citizens of Rowan and Iredell Counties. 3. Date by date, and step by step, Mr. Coltrane gave a full account of the progress that has been made on the project. 4. Mr. Thompson and Mr. Dameron explained details of the preliminary surveys and other work that has been accomplished. Also, they pointed out that 50 1 /o of all land included in the watershed must have been treated or covered by Cooperator's Land Treatment Plans before work on the project would be approved by the U. S. Department of Agri- culture. They insisted that all three counties involved get busy signing up new Cooperators.
