Cato <br />.7 McDaniel <br />1. Chairman Colerider called the joint meeting of the District Supervisors <br />and Watershed Commissioners to order. He called on Hugh Price for prayer. <br />2. Minutes of the September meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Mr. Colerider expressed sympathy on behalf of both Boards, to <br />Mr. Baker Brooks-the death of his sister and to Mr. Marvin <br />Smith -death of his brother. <br />Congratulations were in order for _Hugh Price, District <br />Conservationist, the birth of a son October 3, 1973. <br />b. Chairman Colerider read an article on the Conservation work <br />accomplished by the 1973 FARMER OF THU, Y.R. He then presented <br />an award to Mr. Elbert C. Hill for his outstanding work with <br />conservation practices on his farm. <br />C. Hugh Price, on behalf of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company <br />presented the Goodyear certificate of award to the 1972 FARMER <br />OF THE YEAR-Mr. Mark L. Harris. <br />d. A motion was made and unanimously passed that Eyvonne McDaniel <br />serve as Acting Secretary in the absence of the District <br />Secretary-Treasurer. <br />e. A report was made that no recommendations of nominees for the <br />Wildlife award have been named. <br />4.
