Morris <br />Elizabeth F. Poole <br />Diane R. Honeycutt <br />Lynn W. Shue <br />Absent - Commissioner: Grace M. Mynatt <br />Also present were Mike Downs, County Manager; Richard M. Koch, County <br />Attorney; Pam Dubois, Senior Deputy County Manager; Jonathan Marshall, Deputy <br />County Manager; and Megan Smit, Clerk to the Board. <br />Chairman Morris called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br />Chairman Morris led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Reverend Candido Albino, Associate and Latino Pastor from Forest Hill <br />United Methodist Church delivered the invocation in Spanish and his wife, <br />Pilar Perez delivered the invocation in English. <br />APPROVAL OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the minutes of May 4, 2015 (Work <br />Session) , May 8, 2015 (Recessed Meeting) and May 18, 2015 (Regular Meeting) <br />as written. <br />(B) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Morris reviewed the following changes to the Agenda. <br />Additions: <br />Reports <br />I -4 Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County - 2nd Quarter <br />Partnership Status Report <br />Closed Session <br />L -1 Closed Session - Economic Development and Personnel Matters <br />Supplemental Information: <br />Consent <br />F -2 County Manager - Appropriation for FY 2016 Special Olympics <br />• Updated contract <br />F -3 Human Resources - Approval to Amend a Contract with CHS to Provide an <br />Onsite Employee Health and Wellness Clinic <br />• Updated contract <br />Reports <br />1 -2 EDC - June 2015 Monthly Summary Report <br />• Report <br />Removed: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />C -2 Planning and Development - Soil and Water Conservation District - <br />Recognition of State Winners in Conservation Education Contests <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Agenda as amended. <br />(C) RECOGNITIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />(C -1) Human Resources - Recognition of Jeffery "Brent" Weisner on His <br />Retirement as Cabarrus County Tax Administrator <br />Mike Downs, County Manager, recognized Jeffery Brent Weisner on his <br />retirement as Cabarrus County Tax Administrator. He highlighted Mr. <br />Weisner' s credentials from over 25 years in public service and commended him <br />for his accomplishments during his 12 -year tenure with Cabarrus County. <br />
