389 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed <br />session in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina, on Tuesday, May 29, 1990, at 5:00 P.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: R. Giles Moss <br /> William G. Hmmby, Jr. <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> Commissioner Moss was absent for the beginning of the meeting. <br /> Mr. Michael M. Ruffin, County Manager, presented the proposed Fiscal Year <br />1990-1991 Cabarrus County Budget to the Board' of Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Moss arrived and was present for the remainder of the meeting. <br />The Board reviewed the following proposed departmental budget requests: <br />Board of Commissioners, County Manager, Printing, and Tax Collector. No changes <br />were made to the recommendations presented by the County Manager. <br /> The Board also discussed a funding request by Serenity House. This request <br />is to be discussed further at the regular Board meeting on June 4, 1990. <br /> Chairman Lentz left the meeting at 7:30 P.M. and Vice-Chairman Moss <br />presided in his absence. <br /> Budget items briefly discussed by the Board included the Landfill, Schools <br />funding requests, and the Special Separation Allowance for County employees. <br />No action was taken on any of the items discussed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Vice-Chairman <br />Moss recessed the meeting until 1:00 P.M. at the Cabarrus County Health <br />Department. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
