The Board of County Commissioners met April 8, 1947 with the <br /> <br /> following members present: J. Lee 'i~ite, Chairman, C. M. Crowell, <br /> <br />W. M. Morrison, Homer L. Fink, and Ray W. Cline. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by W. M. Morrison and seconded by Homer L. Fink <br /> <br />that ~harles N. Field be reappointed County Accountant for T~o years. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by <br /> <br />Fink that State High~ay and Public Works Commission be requested to <br />surface ~4a~at the following roads:~ Veiter Street near Brown Mill and <br />East Winecoff Street and Edgewood Avenue, Concord-Bethpage Road from <br />a point near Kannapolis to I~ell County line, .Venus Drive from <br />Highway 2~A to Grace Ave. and also take over and maintain the <br />following: ~.eaving the Go~d Hill Road at the Robert Fisher property <br />and running in an Easterly direction for 9/10 miles to George E. C. <br /> <br /> Best residence. Road in <br /> <br />Nellie ~eaver and runnimg a Nertheasternly direction about 1~ miles. <br /> Motion was made by W. M. Morrison and seconded by Homer L. Fink <br /> <br />that as of April First the followimg fees be paid to pay Sherriff <br />and Deputy ,s$1000.O.O per year for travel allowance and$3QO.O0 per <br />year to Deputy serving C~i Papers~for travel allowance. $2400.00 <br />per year to County Rreasurer <br /> <br />...... ~ ~ ~t ~o,-~ as of April 1st, 1947 <br /> <br /> Motion was made by W. Calloway's salary be raised to $1~j~.OO per month and <br /> <br />Isaah Rippey to $120.00 per month as of April 1st, 1947. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by W. M. Morrison and seconded by Homer L.
