The Board of County Commissioners held their regular meeting Monday, November 2, 1953 at <br /> 10 o'c,lock A.M. with the following members present: <br /> <br /> J. Lee White, chairman, Commissioners L.Bowman Barrier, M. Smoot IFles, <br /> <br /> Ho~er L. Fink, and P.Em'~est Stallings. <br /> <br /> Absent - None <br /> <br />Motion by Nemer L.Fink seconded by P.Ernest Stallings that. State Highway and ~ublic works Comm. <br /> <br /> be requested to : <br /> <br /> 1- Black Top road in No. 7 Township. Road runs from Tracy Culp, Gold Hill, and is known <br /> <br /> as Honeycutte <br /> <br /> 2- Tar and Gravel road in No. 4 Township. Road runs from No. 73 to Lowe Street. <br /> <br /> 3- Hard surface road in No. 4 Township. Road runs from Rogers Lake Road to Dennis Drive <br /> <br /> and is known as Milton avefluee <br /> <br /> 4- Hard surface road in No. I T.~ wnship. Road runs from Mecklenburg Co., line to inter- <br /> section of road running from Harrisburg to Roberson Church. Nnown as CaldwellRoad. <br /> <br /> 5- Hard surface road in No. ll Township. Road runs from Charlotte Hwy. Southeast to <br /> Marshdale Ave., and known as Williams Street and Hillsid~ Avenue. <br /> 6- Oravel road in No. 2 Town ship. Road rums £rom Crisco Road to Homes. <br /> <br /> 7- Pave road in No. 4 Township also widen road. Known as Gurley ~treet Road runs frog <br /> dead end to Poplar Tent Road (Across ~!~ankletown Road). <br /> <br />Motion by P.Ernest Stallings , seconded by M. Smoot Lyles that Thomas Spencer be relieved of payint <br />poll Tax on account of being disabled. <br /> <br /> Motion by M. Smoot Lyles, seconded by P.Ernest Stallings that Charles N. Field be requested to ~ y to <br /> the Estate cf ~iarshall Kindley the amount of $334.50 that was received from the State Retirement and. <br /> <br />Motion by H. L. Fink, seconded by P.Ernest Stallings that J. Lee ~hite and ~. S. Lyles to confer <br /> <br />~ith ~he 'Con~ord Fire Department, the ~annapolis Fire Department and the Mt.
